Learn moreHard drive wiping, degaussing and shredding for offices and data centres in Mumbai. Onsite or offsite, with a certificate for every job.
PrivAce Technologies destroys data on hard drives, SSDs, tapes, phones and laptops for organisations in Mumbai. Drives are wiped with verification, degaussed or shredded, at your premises or at the facility. Every job is recorded at handover and covered by a Certificate of Destruction.
Methods follow NIST SP 800-88 guidelines. Erasure reports are generated by recognised erasure software such as Blancco and BitRaser.
Mumbai hosts the head offices of many Indian banks, insurers and NBFCs, and their information security policies often forbid storage media leaving the premises intact. For these teams, onsite destruction is the default, not an upgrade.
We perform onsite wiping and physical destruction at offices across Mumbai with your IT or security staff present. Where your audit needs it, serial numbers are recorded before destruction and the certificate is issued against that list. Where onsite work is not required, drives are packed and processed at the facility.
Degaussing only works on magnetic media. Flash storage needs a different method. This is the most common mistake we see in vendor proposals.
| Media | Verified software wipe | Degaussing | Shredding |

Onsite suits banks, insurers and any team whose policy forbids media leaving the building. Offsite suits larger volumes and lower urgency.

Learn moreCan a hard drive be used after degaussing? What cannot be degaussed?
Learn morePhysical destruction for drives that will never be reused.
Learn moreYes. Onsite destruction is available across Mumbai. Your team can watch every drive being destroyed, and the certificate records the method and the date.
Usually within a few working days, depending on the volume and your building's access rules. Tell us the drive count and media types when you book.
Wiping overwrites or cryptographically erases the drive so it can be reused. Degaussing erases magnetic media with a strong magnetic field and leaves the drive unusable. Shredding physically destroys the media. The right choice depends on the media type and whether you want resale value.
Yes. The Certificate of Destruction states the media destroyed, the method and the date. Software wiping also produces a per-device erasure report.
Yes. Encrypted phones and tablets are reset and verified, or physically destroyed if you prefer.
