How we check facts. Legal and technical statements are checked against primary sources: the Gazette text of the DPDP Act and Rules, the E-Waste (Management) Rules, NIST SP 800-88, regulator circulars and manufacturers’ own documentation. Where a figure is an estimate, we say whose estimate it is.
