IT Asset Disposal for IT Services and GCCs.
Laptop refreshes, lab and test servers, and project exits, handled with the evidence your clients and ISO auditors ask for.
PrivAce Technologies retires laptops, desktops, servers and networking gear for IT services companies and global capability centres across India. Drives are wiped with Blancco or BitRaser, per-drive reports go to your security team, and refresh cycles are bought back with payment before pickup.
Why disposal needs care here.
In IT services, the data on a laptop is often not yours. It belongs to a client, under a contract that usually says how it must be destroyed and what proof you must keep.
Most firms are ISO/IEC 27001 certified. The 2022 version has two controls that land on your disposal vendor: 7.14 for secure disposal or reuse of equipment, and 8.10 for deletion of information.

The requirements behind a disposal policy.
Plain summaries with links to the source. Your legal and compliance teams decide how they apply to you.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022, controls 7.14 and 8.10: Control 7.14 covers secure disposal or reuse of equipment, and 8.10 covers deletion of information. Certified organisations need evidence for both.
- CERT-In Directions, 28 April 2022: Logs of ICT systems must be kept for a rolling 180 days within India. Do not retire log servers or their drives before that window is covered elsewhere.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, 2025: Personal data on a retired device is still your responsibility. Failing to take reasonable security safeguards can attract a penalty of up to ₹250 crore. Most obligations apply from 13 May 2027.
