Identify your model

How to read a ProLiant name.

DL is a rack server, ML is a tower. In the DL line, 360 is 1U and 380 is 2U. A last digit of 5, as in the DL325 and DL385, marks an AMD EPYC server.

The Gen number is the generation and appears on the front label and in iLO. iLO is HPE's remote management controller; its version tracks the generation.

The serial number and product number on the pull-out tag identify the exact configuration.
