IT Asset Disposal for Logistics and Warehousing.
Handhelds, scanners, depot PCs and servers spread across dozens of locations, retired as one job with one set of documents.
PrivAce Technologies retires IT for logistics, courier and warehousing companies across India: rugged handhelds, scanners, depot and hub PCs, laptops, servers and networking. Multi-city pickups are coordinated as one job, every device with storage is wiped or destroyed, and working units are paid for before pickup.
Why disposal needs care here.
Logistics systems hold names, phone numbers and addresses for millions of deliveries, plus route and pricing data. Much of it sits on handhelds and depot PCs in many cities.
Retiring a fleet is a coordination problem as much as a data problem. Devices come back from hubs at different times, and without one process some always slip through.

The requirements behind a disposal policy.

- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, 2025: Personal data on a retired device is still your responsibility. Failing to take reasonable security safeguards can attract a penalty of up to ₹250 crore. Most obligations apply from 13 May 2027.
- E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022: Bulk consumers must hand e-waste only to a registered producer, refurbisher or recycler. In force since 1 April 2023.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022, controls 7.14 and 8.10: Control 7.14 covers secure disposal or reuse of equipment, and 8.10 covers deletion of information. Certified organisations need evidence for both.
