E-waste in Navi Mumbai.
Navi Mumbai has a heavy concentration of data centres, back-office floors and industrial units in the TTC industrial area around Mahape, Rabale and Turbhe. The e-waste that comes out of these sites is more technical than typical office waste: rack PDUs, UPS systems, network cabling, storage shelves and failed drives.
We treat data-bearing items and plain e-waste as two separate streams in the same pickup. Drives, tapes and anything with storage follow the destruction process. The rest is weighed and recycled under the manifest.
Everything electronic, in one pickup.
| Item | Examples | How it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Computers | Laptops, desktops, workstations, all-in-ones | Data destroyed, then resold or recycled |
| Servers and storage | Rack servers, NAS, SAN, tape libraries | Media destroyed, hardware resold or recycled |
| Networking | Switches, routers, firewalls, access points | Configs wiped, resold or recycled |
| Peripherals | Printers, scanners, projectors, monitors | Recycled, working units resold |
| Power | UPS units and batteries | Batteries separated into their own stream |
| Phones and tablets | Mobiles, desk phones, tablets | Data wiped or device destroyed |
| Cables and small items | Cables, keyboards, mice, chargers | Recycled by material |
| Appliances | Microwaves, fans, ovens, water dispensers | Recycled through the authorised channel |
The paperwork you should receive.
Form 6 manifest. The movement document for e-waste. It records what left your premises, when, and which authorised recycler received it.
Certificate of E-Waste Recycling. Issued after processing. It proves the hardware was recycled through an authorised channel.
Certificate of Destruction. Issued for data-bearing items. It proves the data was destroyed, by which method and when. A recycling certificate alone says nothing about data. See annotated samples.
