IT Asset Disposal for Media and Entertainment.
Render nodes, edit suites, shuttle drives and LTO tapes, destroyed the way studio content security audits expect.
PrivAce Technologies retires IT for studios, VFX houses, post-production and broadcasters across India: render nodes, edit and colour workstations, storage, shuttle drives and tape. Media is wiped, degaussed or shredded with erasure reports and certificates, and serial-level lists when your content security assessment asks for them.
Why disposal needs care here.
Unreleased content is the product. A shuttle drive or render node that leaves without its data destroyed can end up as a leak.
The MPA Content Security Best Practices, maintained through the Trusted Partner Network (TPN), include a Destruction control that expects media to be erased, degaussed, shredded or destroyed before disposal, a certificate of destruction when a third party does it, and destruction logs kept for at least a year.

The requirements behind a disposal policy.

- MPA Content Security Best Practices (TPN), control OP-3.2 Destruction: Erase, degauss, shred or destroy media before disposal; certificate of destruction from third parties; complete destruction within 30 days; keep destruction logs for at least one year; NIST SP 800-88 referenced for wiping.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022, controls 7.14 and 8.10: Control 7.14 covers secure disposal or reuse of equipment, and 8.10 covers deletion of information. Certified organisations need evidence for both.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, 2025: Personal data on a retired device is still your responsibility. Failing to take reasonable security safeguards can attract a penalty of up to ₹250 crore. Most obligations apply from 13 May 2027.
