Clearing the Office Before Diwali? Start With the IT.
The storeroom full of old laptops, CPUs and printers is the one part of the Diwali clean-up that should not go to the scrap dealer. Here is how to clear it properly and get paid for what still works.
Before Diwali, clear retired office IT through an ITAD provider, not the scrap dealer who takes the furniture. Separate everything that holds data, destroy the data first, get an itemised price for what still works, and keep the handover manifest and recycling certificate for your records. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, so book the assessment early.
For companies, institutions and offices. Individuals: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune.
Six steps for a clean pre-Diwali clearance.
- Walk the storeroom. Count laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, printers, networking gear and UPS units. A rough count is enough to start.
- Mark what holds data. Laptops, desktops, servers, printers with hard drives, CCTV recorders, biometric machines and phones.
- Release locks. Remove BIOS passwords, MDM enrolment and Apple Activation Lock, so working units keep their value.
- Get an itemised quotation. Priced by model and condition, never by weight.
- Agree payment before pickup. The amount reaches your account before anything leaves.
- Keep the file. Form 6 manifest at pickup, erasure reports or Certificates of Destruction, and the recycling certificate within 7 working days.
The risk hiding in the storeroom.
Diwali clean-ups are when company laptops most often leave through the wrong door. The housekeeping vendor offers to take the lot, the price sounds fine, and nobody asks what is on the drives. A single laptop with HR or customer records turns a cleaning exercise into a data incident.
Ask us to keep the IT apart. We assess it, destroy the data first, buy what works and recycle the rest, and you hand the manifest to your admin and finance teams.
Questions, answered.
Lakshmi Puja falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Most offices plan their cleaning and storeroom clearance in the two to three weeks before it.
Not if they hold data or are company assets. Laptops, desktops, servers, printers with drives, CCTV recorders and phones hold data, and company e-waste has to go through an authorised channel with a record of the handover.
As early as you can. The weeks before Diwali are the busiest time of the year for office clearances, so send the list now and fix the date once the quotation is agreed.
Yes. Working laptops, desktops, monitors and servers are priced item by item, and the agreed amount reaches your account before pickup.
In Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune, yes. Elsewhere we work with companies and institutions only.
