How to Dispose of Office Laptops in Bulk, Safely.

For a bulk laptop disposal, release the MDM and BIOS locks, wipe every drive with certified software and keep an erasure report per drive, shred the drives that fail, agree an item-wise price before pickup, and sign the manifest at your office. Payment should reach you before the laptops leave.

Three decisions that change the outcome.
Locks cost more than age. A laptop still enrolled in your device management or protected by a BIOS password sells for parts. Releasing locks before the inspection is the single biggest thing your IT team can do for the price.
Pick the data method per device, not per job. Wipe the laptops you want value from, with an erasure report for each drive. Shred the ones that will not wipe or that your policy says must be destroyed. Our default is to do this at your office, witnessed by your team.
Insist on the order: price, payment, pickup. Once the laptops have left, you have no leverage.
